You've been served! Mavado, Kartel receive summonses

Entertainers David 'Mavado' Brooks and Adidjah 'Vybz Kartel' Palmer were served with summonses by the police to appear in the Spanish Town Resident Magistrate's Court for breaches of the Town and Community Act.

The two entertainers were summoned by the police following their performances at the 25th staging of the Sting show on December 26, at Jamworld, Portmore, St Catherine.

The men have been accused of uttering expletives and using threatening words to describe each other.

After viewing a tape of the event the police prepared the summonses for both artistes.

Operations Officer for St Catherine South, Deputy Superintendent of police Clive Blair, said that the police will not tolerate any level of 'bad behaviour'.

He further said "We are going to do our jobs to the book and it doesn't matter whom the person is. If they go against the law, then they will have to answer in court. And this is what happened in Mr Palmer and Mr Brooks' case."

Brooks was served with his summons while doing a video shoot in St Andrew on Wednesday, while Palmer was served at his home on Thursday. Brooks will appear in court on January 20 and Palmer will appear on January 27.
